unlearn. – Critical Thinking by Design

Every learner thrives when relationships are at the forefront of all learning. When lived experiences are centered and reflected, belonging increases. unlearn is a resource that can help learners to see themselves reflected in the curriculum. Until a child feels safe, cared for and included they’re not going to achieve to their highest academic potential. This year’s winter recharge sets the stage for unlearn to help plant the seed and grow awareness of each other in order to strengthen relationships. We will unpack the bias we all have and explore how we can create a safe, caring and inclusive environment promoting dignity and respect for all. unlearn’s vision is to inspire people to see the humanity in everyone. Michael Lewis – We Are Stronger Together, and Together We Can Be Amazing!

As we approach the two year anniversary of the beginning of the pandemic and can now see the end of it, we need to reflect on what we went through TOGETHER, to really appreciate each other and the support we received and gave to each other during the difficult and unprecedented times. A time to celebrate just how amazing we can be when we came together during a once-in-a-lifetime challenge. It is time to celebrate how our strength as a team and a community was able to come through and provide that essential service that children and families counted on us providing! In the motivational presentation, we’ll discover just how strong, united, compassionate and dedicated we were and how through adapting and problem solving we proved to everyone that it has been our finest hour! Finally, lets look forward together to better days ahead and remember when COVID handed us lemons, we made lemonade.
